When September rolled around, Gary realized we had a very limited number of days before the rainy season began in earnest. Our shed hadn't been painted yet, and we certainly didn't want to lose it to dry rot, so on a dry Saturday morning, we scampered over to a paint store and chose a paint color in record time ("Do you have a light tan color that doesn't look pink? We'll take it."). We bought a few gallons and headed home. We cleaned the shed for a few hours (which included plucking some very determined slugs off the shed over and over and over) and began painting. It took a while, and since we wanted to just get it over and done with, we ignored the sun when it went down. We pulled out some lights and just carried on. When our neighbor came outside to bring her cat in, she got a real kick out of it.
