"Do people really listen to music while having babies? I feel like it would take a lot to preoccupy you from shoving out a kid."
I told my younger sister that I was going to make a playlist on my iPod to take to the hospital. You know, for distraction purposes. Her response:
"Do people really listen to music while having babies? I feel like it would take a lot to preoccupy you from shoving out a kid."

We were making dinner tonight after Gary got home from work. After a bit of small talk about our day's activities, we were enjoying a peaceful silence as I peeled potatoes and Gary chopped them.
Peel, peel, peel. Chop, chop, chop. "Who's your favorite Russian mob boss?" Gary asks. I made these and man, oh man, I'm so proud of myself for it. We had a bunch of drawstring bags growing up that my mom had made out of leftover fabric and I'm constantly wishing I still had some. They come in so handy. I imagine they'll be even more so when we have a kid and need to tote around random odds and ends.
Our doormat can grow plants better than I can. I'm putting it in charge of our vegetable garden this year.
Apparently, I forgot that it's a new year, so last week's blog posts are on the Blog 2012 page. Shrug. Too lazy to fix it.
